Prove What Is Good
Scripture:
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." — Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
Devotional:
God desires that we walk in His good, acceptable, and perfect will, but how do we truly know what that is? Paul gives us the answer—it begins with transformation.
When we renew our minds through Scripture, prayer, and the leading of the Holy Spirit, we begin to discern God’s will in our daily lives. His will is not a mystery hidden from us, but a path revealed as we align our thoughts with His truth. The more we saturate our minds with God's Word, the more we recognize His hand in our decisions, relationships, and purpose.
God’s will is always good, meaning it brings life, peace, and righteousness. It is acceptable, meaning it aligns with His perfect love and wisdom. And it is perfect, meaning it is complete and lacks nothing. When we seek His will above our own, we experience the fullness of His plan for our lives—one that far surpasses anything we could design for ourselves.
Are you struggling to know God’s will? Start by surrendering your thoughts to Him, allowing His truth to reshape your perspective. As your mind is renewed, you will walk confidently in the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.
Reflection Questions:
In what areas of your life do you need clarity about God’s will?
How can you better position yourself to hear God’s direction?
What steps can you take today to renew your mind through His Word?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I desire to walk in Your will. Help me to renew my mind daily so that I may discern what is good, acceptable, and perfect in Your sight. Guide my steps, align my heart with Yours, and lead me in the path You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
