What is God's calling?
God’s calling is His personal invitation to you to walk in the purpose He designed for your life. It’s not just about what you do—it’s about who you are in Christ and how He wants to work through you.
1. First, God Calls You to Himself
Before God calls you to an assignment, He calls you into relationship.
You are called to be His—loved, forgiven, and secure in Jesus.
“He has saved us and called us with a holy calling…” (2 Timothy 1:9)
2. God Invites You to Partner With Him
Your calling is a partnership with God. He works in you and through you to touch the lives of others—right where you are.
“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:13)
3. Your Calling Fits the Way God Made You
God’s calling will never contradict how He has wired you.
He uses your gifts, your personality, your experiences—even your pain—to accomplish His purpose.
“For we are His workmanship…created in Christ Jesus for good works…” (Ephesians 2:10)
4. Calling Includes Seasons and Assignments
There is a lifelong purpose on your life, and there are also assignments for each season—in your family, church, work, and community.
Sometimes God calls you to start something new; sometimes He calls you to be faithful where you already are.
5. God Equips You for What He Calls You To
You are never called to do God’s work in your own strength.
His grace, His Spirit, and His Word empower you to obey and to stand firm—grace-filled and battle-ready.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
At HisWordMyMouth.com, we believe your calling is strengthened and clarified as you speak God’s Word out loud:
His Word shapes how you think.
His Word strengthens how you stand.
His Word guides how you walk out your purpose.
God’s calling is His voice saying:
“Walk with Me. Trust Me. Let Me use your life for My glory.”
