Don't Throw in the Towel!
God knew exactly what He needed and that is why he selected you.
Even though you might be feeling tired, weak and perhaps ready to throw in the towel, hang on a little while longer - God is not through with you yet.
Philippians 1:6 puts it this way, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."
After Peter denied Jesus three times, the Bible tells us that he wept bitterly. He must have felt like such a miserably failure. He probably was
overwhelmed with feelings of guilt, worthless- ness and maybe even depression. Peter had just experienced a tremendous set back, but in the end he became one of the greatest leaders of the emerging church. Why? - Because in spite of his personal failures, God had not given up on him.
My sisters and brothers, God is not through with you yet either. He knew what He was getting into before He selected us. God knew about every one of our personal issues, and weaknesses before He called us - yet He still said, "Come, follow me."
In spite of Peter's failure, God still had a mighty purpose to fulfill through his life, and He still has one to fulfill through you and me as well. Learn to trust in God's power to take you from where you are to where you need to go.
